Division By Zero is a dedicated team of high school students training for potential jobs in the technology sector. This extra-curricular program allows these students to compete in robotics tournaments operated by FIRST. The team is given six weeks in which they design, build, and drive a fully operational robot. The team is split into many “sub-teams,” which practice different disciplines of the technology sector.

The teams work does not stop here, during the summer and fall of each year, the team host a  number robotics related activities impacting upstate New York. Each summer Division By Zero participates in Summer robotics workshops for High school, Middle school and Elementary school teachers. In the Fall the team works to provide remote and on site mentoring to FLL and FTC robotics teams throughout the surrounding counties as well as host a FIRST official FLL & FTC tournament for local and non-local teams. All of this is made possible by sponsorship. By sponsoring Division By Zero, you can help these students reach their hopes and dreams, and allow them to become the engineers of tomorrow and enable them to continue to greatly impact their communities. Your contribution will ensure that plenty of skilled workers continue to enter the workforce in years to come.

Sponsoring Division By Zero also yields advertising benefits. Depending on the donation, you could receive a large amount of exposure. Links and logos on the website, logos on the robot, or even a mention in the team name are all possibilities. The scope of the FIRST competition means that your name will be distributed to hundreds of thousands. Attendance is estimated at over 130,000 students with over 1300 teams, along with 37,000 mentors and 27,000 event volunteers. These teams originate from Turkey, Canada, Israel, Brazil, U.K., Mexico, Chile, Netherlands, Germany, and almost every U.S. state. Most teams also include mentors, who (in many cases) are fully certified engineers working for a broad range of engineering companies. In addition, the Championship Event is hosted in Atlanta, Georgia in the Georgia Dome. Not only will there be local attendance in the Dome, but the event is also broadcast across the world through internet television, which will distribute your name to uncountable amounts of viewers.
